Howdy friends! Well warmer weather calls for new and lighter recipes. So here is one to get you started – Lazy Girl Lettuce Wraps! A light and savory blend of spicy and sweet sauce, ground turkey and a fresh lettuce crunch.
I stumbled upon these lettuce wraps one evening. I had all the intention to make another recipe but then realized at like 5:00 I did not even have all the correct ingredients. Sad to admit I’ve been there all too many times. Anyway y’all can thank me for being unprepared cause these puppies are LEGIT DELISH!! I honestly want to make them everyday. My kiddos and hubs also raved about them and have requested on more than one occasion. Alright so let’s get to it…
I call them Lazy Girl Lettuce Wraps cause you really only need about 4 ingredients. I start off with about a pound of lean ground turkey. Sizzle that up until almost brown. Then add in your mushrooms. You can use as much or little as you want. Depending on how many you are feeding. I use the whole little container of the baby bella mushrooms. Cook those for a few minutes, until they start to soften a bit. Then add in your cabbage. I use the angel hair cole slaw cabbage. It’s already washed, shredded and ready to eat. Again use as much or little as you want. I use about half the bag. Then cook it all up for a few minutes. I add in salt, pepper and garlic powder to taste.
THEN THE BEST PART. Squeeze in your sweet chili sauce. Enough to coat everything and make it all sticky and yummy! The combination of all these flavors together is so divine. If you like it spicy I would suggest come red pepper flakes. SO SO good! Then fill up your romaine lettuce boats and you’ve got one delish EASY and QUICK low carb friendly meal! THAT’S IT!!
I hope you will be making these for your family! I know they will love them.
