So I am so excited about this bathroom reveal. It has been one of the most dramatic changes we’ve made in our home. We have been in our home a little over four years. So this makeover has been long coming. When I say the bathroom was dark. I literally mean dark brown…like the whole thing! Not sure what they were going for. Darkness?! Scary?! I don’t think this is what people mean by Monochromatic. We painted the bathroom days after moving in. Not cause I already had this great vision but just so we could see!!
We pretty much removed everything from the toilet, vanity, shower walls, floors, and fixtures. Had the pleasure of working with an amazing team from Ribo Home Remodeling. I’ve been told I am very “particular” (not sure I can argue…hehe!) so these guys had their hands full and did a stand up job!
My vision for this bathroom came from this stunning cement tile from Cement Tile Shop. It’s a soft gray and off while tile. SO PRETTY!! It’s a small space and the bathroom that all my guests use so I wanted something special for the floors. We painted the walls a soft gray, Sherwin Williams Repose Gray. It’s a color we used throughout the house. And went perfect with the tile. I wanted a shiplap wall so my handy hubby did his magic. It added just a little more depth and brightened up the space more.
Ok brace yourselves. If you are sitting in a dark room I suggest turning on a light…or you might not see the BEFORE pics!
I told you it was dark! Now what you can’t see are the floors. They too are a dark brown tile. So several years, days and many hours later we have a brand new bathroom. Bye bye brown cave hello fresh new powder bath!
