This post originally started off with fun and spooky sweet treats for the kiddos. Then I realized they will get about 12 pounds of candy! Who needs a rice krispy treat with an eyeball on it?! So that is how this turned into My Adult Halloween! Day of the Dead Meets Candy Inspired Cocktails! I had a really fun time with this one! I don’t really decorate much for Halloween. My kids beg me every year to do scary, but let’s face it. Never gonna happen! Halloween night is usually a pretty long night!! Too. Much. Sugar. And why do the kids have to have all the fun!? It got me thinking – I want to create a fun slightly spooky, definitely themed, night for us parents. We deserve it! It always starts with one inspiration piece. In this case, it was a gift bag! I have been trying to get in the fall spirit but these temps have been killing me! Most days I literally refuse to go outside. However, we did see a break and I was able to pull a bit of inspo and it came from my Ginger Apple Vodka Martini. Mother’s Day is right around the corner. We all have one, know one, or are one! So let’s make sure we make them feel extra special. One way is a beautiful table. You do not have to get all fancy and spend a ton of money. In fact, this version I created cost me nada! Not a penny! USE WHAT YOU HAVE! I see so many bloggers with these massive, and also stunning tablescapes that you know cost a fortune. Plus, where do you store it all?! I will say I have a “healthy” amount of inventory that I have collected over the years. Which is probably not the norm BUT I am here to show you how to create something beautiful and a sure way to make Mom feel special. I decided to create an outdoor tablescape. Hippity Hoppity Easter’s on the Way! My Easter Table.

We are just a few weeks away from celebrating Easter. I love this time of year. The sun is in full shine. Something about the change in season sparks a new excitement and “something to look forward to” in me! I love to add a touch of spring into my home. It doesn’t have to be this huge and expensive overhaul. I swap out pillow covers, flowers and vases. This year I found some great finds at Dollar Tree and Target dollar section. My favorite thing is decorating my table. I am a 100% ambiance person. I love to use candles, pretty glasses and flowers. Really set a mood for my guests. I love to come up with creative ways to incorporate name settings and tiny details that make a difference. We’ve been on a butterfly kick in my house. I am lover an collector of MacKenzie-Childs Butterfly Collection. Sadly it’s been discontinued. But I love to use it in my spring decorating. It’s so feminine and whimsical. Getting Your Table Thanksgiving Ready

I prefer a traditional setting with beautiful plates, wine glasses and tons of candles. Now I know most do not and frankly find it overwhelming. Especially when you are the host in charge of guests, turkey, pies and NOW you need a fancy table?!! Fear not you don’t! I have created two very simple tablescapes that are sure to wow your guests and keep you underwhelmed and help you get your table Thanksgiving ready! I like to mix my flowers and plants – some fake, some real. You don’t have to go wild and spend a ton of money of fresh flowers. For this first look I used some goodies from my yard. I have a Magnolia tree that I frequently cut leaves from. Makes a perfect filler for your vases, tables and wreaths. And they last a long time even out of water. A Birthday Tradition That Turned Me Into a Collector.

Until a few years back my sister surprised me with a MacKenzie-Childs Butterfly Garden Enamel Pedestal Platter for my birthday. I LOVED it from the second I saw it! It has a permanent home on my countertop. I fill it with banana bread, cakes, pies, biscuits, or even fruit! To date one of my favorite gifts. So each birthday I am gifted a beautiful new addition…to my new found collection. Unfortunately, the Butterfly Garden Collection was discontinued. Tear. BUT that didn’t stop the tradition from continuing. I have since added the Courtly Check to the mix. And I must say I love it even more!
