Sweet Pecan Pie and No Bake Apple Pie Cheesecake

Over the years we all have all fallen into our “designated” contributions. And one of mine is pies! I mean prolly the best part of the meal! 😉 So today I will be sharing two of my favorite Thanksgiving desserts: my sweet pecan pie and no bake apple pie cheesecake. The pecan pie is a staple. It’s taken me YEARS to perfect! My brother-in-law is my ultimate tester. He gives me good feedback every year. Then I like to mix it up for the rest of the pies. Sometimes I do pumpkin pie, I think I made chocolate cream pie last year. This year I decided to reintroduce my no bake apple pie cheesecake. I tried a ton of pecan pie recipes. My Advent Calendar: Gets the whole family together!

I’ve pondered what I would fill it with. Of course Jesus being the main focus but also I wanted it to fun and educational and something everyone looks forward to each day. So this is my Advent Calendar, it really gets the whole family together. My son was gifted The Jesus Storybook Bible by his Mimi. We love this Bible! It’s perfect for kids. So during my search I stumbled upon an Advent Guide that corresponds to The Jesus Storybook Bible. It gives step-by-step instructions. You simply download the PDF, print the pictures with the matching scripture and cut! Now you can still use the guide even if you don’t have the storybook. You can look at the beautifully done pictures and read the scriptures from your own Bible. I decided to kick it up a notch and add a “bonus” treat to a few of the days, every other to be exact.
