Sausage Cornbread Dressing and Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms!

So I am sharing two of my favorite dishes for Thanksgiving – my sausage cornbread dressing and sausage stuffed mushrooms. They are sure to please your hungry guests! Are you a stuffing or dressing lover? I wasn’t really either until I met my husband. His Mom makes THE best cornbread dressing! I try to replicate it, but it just isn’t the same. So I have come up with my own couple versions. I do a very simple cornbread dressing and then I also jazz it up from time to time with a sausage dressing. SAUSAGE CORNBREAD DRESSING This recipe is super simple and easy. I use just the store bought cornbread. Then for the sausage I use my go-to, Crowd Cow, their sweet Italian sausage has just the right blend of herbs and spices. Alright so we are going to start with the cornbread. Sweet Pecan Pie and No Bake Apple Pie Cheesecake

Over the years we all have all fallen into our “designated” contributions. And one of mine is pies! I mean prolly the best part of the meal! 😉 So today I will be sharing two of my favorite Thanksgiving desserts: my sweet pecan pie and no bake apple pie cheesecake. The pecan pie is a staple. It’s taken me YEARS to perfect! My brother-in-law is my ultimate tester. He gives me good feedback every year. Then I like to mix it up for the rest of the pies. Sometimes I do pumpkin pie, I think I made chocolate cream pie last year. This year I decided to reintroduce my no bake apple pie cheesecake. I tried a ton of pecan pie recipes. Snacks that Pop! My Sweet and Savory Popcorn

This page may contain affiliate links, see full disclosure here. My Mom makes THE best homemade popcorn. I’ve tried to duplicate it a million times but mine never tastes like hers. At first I was a bit intimidated to make popcorn on my stove. I’ve always just made the good ole microwave version. But I decided to give it a shot and man I am glad I did. So here’s to Snacks that Pop! My Sweet and Savory Popcorn that my kiddos love! Plus, you don’t have to worry about the danger of the chemicals in the microwave version. And it takes about the same amount of time! So back to mine not tasting like my Mom’s – I am happy to say I have found and mastered my own version and it’s pretty tasty too! I use coconut oil, vegetable oil (just a small pour), butter and popcorn kernels. My Advent Calendar: Gets the whole family together!

I’ve pondered what I would fill it with. Of course Jesus being the main focus but also I wanted it to fun and educational and something everyone looks forward to each day. So this is my Advent Calendar, it really gets the whole family together. My son was gifted The Jesus Storybook Bible by his Mimi. We love this Bible! It’s perfect for kids. So during my search I stumbled upon an Advent Guide that corresponds to The Jesus Storybook Bible. It gives step-by-step instructions. You simply download the PDF, print the pictures with the matching scripture and cut! Now you can still use the guide even if you don’t have the storybook. You can look at the beautifully done pictures and read the scriptures from your own Bible. I decided to kick it up a notch and add a “bonus” treat to a few of the days, every other to be exact.
